Welcome to Visitor Notes.

If you got here from my other Substack, you already know the premise: a time-traveling anthropologist from 2203 takes notes on the early 21st century, gets a lot of it wrong, and tries to be objective about it anyway. If you got here some other way, that’s the whole pitch.

The strip launches in late summer 2026. Twice a week. Always free. I’m using the runway between now and then to build a backlog and get better at this new-to-me art form.

The strip itself will always be free. Eventually I’ll open a paid tier for early access and a higher tier for behind-the-scenes material — drawings that didn’t make the cut, notes on the world of 2203, the bureaucratic particulars of time travel. Paid subscriptions won’t go live until a couple of weeks after launch, but pledges are open now if you want to be early.

Below is a sample — the first strip I drew of Dr. Vale. Three panels, dry voice, an anthropologist quietly getting things wrong. A fair preview of the form.
